Albert Jané belongs to those kind of people that fulfilled his dream in gowning his own vineyard. His biggest was to revive the experience and knowledge of the ancient wine growers of Montsant. His wish originated in the neighboring village named D.O. Montsant, as he caused for sensation whilst he had gained valuable experience with difficult growing conditions located there. Albert Jané dared something, which almost nobody would have ever dared to do. He devoted himself to the spectacularly sloping ravines that nobody for a long time has ventured on. Only a few years ago, daring quality fanatics are once again drawn to the meager, impassable soils.
Because of his work in Montsant, Albert Jané knew exactly which wonderful wines the old Garnacha and Cariñena Vines would bring under these conditions. He searched for ancient vines that were located in the north of the mountains, which he withdrew from minimum yields per hectare. For this, Albert Jané postulates fine wines with personality and elegance that these old vines express. Jané tries to express their soul, their uniqueness and their tradition.
The results can be shown, because it expresses deepness, amazing concentrates and balance with an elegant cool style. All we have to say is: Albert Jané works under priority, and how! His labor of love is the “Auditori”. Already with the first crop in 2005 he celebrated a sensational success.
In search of the best parcels for his new wine, Jané came across a vineyard with about 80 to 100 year old Garnacha Vines, from which he created a unprecedented pure-toned and finesse of red wine. All of these are claimed to be superlative. The name “Auditori” is dedicated to his enthusiasm for acoustic music. The first tasting makes you feel like being transferred to a large concert auditorium, where thunderous applause for the listed masterpiece is standard. Also spotted in the audience: Mr. Robert M. Parker who described the wine as a wine with killer value. To put it in a nutshell, the wines are just like their creators. Very self-confident, very present and yet charming in a way, which puts everybody immediately under a spell.
